Troubleshooting

When Sidearm won't sign in, Sitrep's board doesn't show or miscounts, or a match isn't recorded.

Signing in doesn't finish

  • Approve the code on Halo Labs' Sign In a Device page within 10 minutes. If it expires, choose Sign In in Sidearm again for a new one.
  • Check the code on the page matches the one Sidearm shows. A code someone else looked up first can't be approved by you.
  • If the page didn't open, go to halolabs.gg/link and type the code.
  • If Sidearm says it was signed out, the device was removed on your Profile's Devices, or your account was turned off. Sign in again.

The board doesn't show in game

  • The game has to be in the foreground and borderless fullscreen.
  • Sitrep may be off. Turn it on in Sidearm's Sitrep settings.

Wrong kills or deaths

  • Check the Halo settings from Setup, especially HUD Opacity 1.0 and Event Feed Background All.
  • Each match gets a folder in Sidearm's logs (logs\sitrep) with every feed row it read, the scoreboard's numbers against the feed's, and pictures of the feed and the screens. Those are the most useful thing to send with a report.

A match wasn't recorded

  • Record Automatically is off until you turn it on, in Sidearm's Recording settings.
  • Recordings go to Videos\Sidearm\Halo Infinite. Sidearm's window opens the folder.
